Knowledge Building

Learn about subject-specific, degree-level concepts that you can use in your personal statement, admissions tests and interviews to impress admissions tutors at top UK universities.

Gain deep subject knowledge from world-class consultants

Top UK universities are looking for curious, hungry applicants who have explored beyond the A-level syllabus to build their knowledge in the subject they want to study at university.

Knowledge Building in a particular subject area is the first vital step for students on their journey to applying to UK universities. Students learn how to develop important ideas in both depth and breadth far beyond their classroom learning, and this is essential for any successful application. It feeds into all areas of the process, including personal statements, admissions tests, and interview practice.

The Knowledge Building short course has been carefully designed to ensure that you have the opportunity to pre-learn topics that are most likely to come up in the Oxbridge interview, but this knowledge is essential for all university applications and personal statements.

Advanced Knowledge

Learn about degree-level concepts related to the areas that you want to study at university. This extra knowledge will impress admissions teams at top UK universities.

Current Events

Expand knowledge of current events, news and academic research trends in your subject. This wider knowledge can be used at every stage of the application process.

Wider Reading

Top universities expect that applicants have read many books related to their subject. Our mentors will guide you through your wider reading.

Sessions are designed to be highly interactive and discursive, allowing you to develop the critical thinking skills needed to excel in an Oxford or Cambridge interview.
